Place Your Order
Reserve your portrait with a $150 deposit, which will be applied to the total. Once I receive your order, I'll contact you via email to discuss details and gather necessary photos. To reserve your portrait, click the “Book my Portrait” button below.
Review & Shipping
I will notify you when the piece is nearly finished for your review. Once complete, I’ll confirm your shipping address, send the final invoice, and ship your piece once payment is received.

What to Expect After Booking Your Portrait
Booking and Waiting List
I am currently booked out between 3 and 4 months. If you book your portrait today, your portrait will be started within that time-frame and will take about 2 weeks to complete.
To reserve your spot on the list, simply click the “Book Your Portrait” button.
After you book, I’ll send you an email so we can discuss any details about your portrait.
If you have your own ideas, I’d love to hear them!
Payment
When you book, I require a deposit of $125. This secures your place on my schedule. This is non-refundable as you are reserving a spot that could have been used by someone else.
When I contact you via email, we can discuss your portrait and you can send photos to me through email.
I will send a mock-up of your portrait so you can approve it. Once you agree on the mock-up you can pay the remaining balance.
I currently accept payments via PayPal.
Photo References
I work from photo references you provide. You can email your photos to marisa@cooksoncreekart.com or reply directly to the email I’ll send you.
Feel free to send as many photos as you like, and I’ll help choose the best ones.
For multi-pet portraits, I often combine pets from different photos, as it’s rare to have a great shot of them all together.
The Mock-Up/Creation of your Artwork
Before starting your portrait, I’ll create mock-ups with various backgrounds and color compositions, fine-tuning details like lighting and eye highlights.
Once we agree on a mock-up, I’ll begin painting. Your artwork will take 2–4 weeks to complete.
After finishing, I’ll send a preview for your approval before shipping it to you
Shipping
I like to use UPS for shipping and it will generally arrive to you within 2-3 days.
Colored Pencil Portraits are sent using a very large Art Mailer tube as this provides the best protection. Pastel Portraits are sent flat and very well packaged.
Shipping costs are:
- $25 for Small portraits up to 9×12
- $45 for Medium portraits up to 16×20
- $60 for all Large portraits 18×24 and up.
- $50-90 for International Shipping
Ready to Book?
To book your spot, a $150 deposit is required. Simply add the portrait deposit to your cart and complete the checkout process. Once payment is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with your order number. Within 3 days, I will personally reach out to discuss your portrait details, including size, photos, and your ideas.
