- Don’t use someone else’s account.
- Let us know right away if you think your account has been hacked or used without permission.
- We’re not responsible for any losses or problems caused by someone misusing your account.

Note: If you opt out, you might miss updates or special content.
6. Shopping & Orders
When you place an order, you’re agreeing to buy the product at the price listed at that time.
Please double-check details like:
- The size of the artwork
- The number of subjects in portraits (for custom work)
- Your shipping address and contact info
If you’re added to a waitlist or make a reservation, you’ll receive an automatic email confirmation with your payment and reservation details.
For custom portraits:
- Once we present you with the model or preview, you’ll need to pay the remaining balance.
- After the final payment, we’ll send another email to confirm, along with your invoice.
We reserve the right to:
- Limit how many items you can buy
- Limit where we ship (based on location or laws)
- Cancel any order if something goes wrong or seems suspicious
If we cancel an order or reservation, you’ll get a full refund. This won’t affect your legal rights.
Each order or booking is handled separately and individually.
7. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All images, text, artwork, and content on our website and social media pages belong to Cookson Creek Fine Art.
That means:
- You may not copy, share, repost, or use our images or content without our written permission.
- Using our work without permission is illegal and may lead to legal action.
- If you’d like to share our work, just ask—we’re happy to talk about it!
8. Artwork Process (for Custom Orders)
For custom artwork:
- A deposit holds your spot on our schedule.
- We do all communication through email or social media messaging.
- After your artwork is finished, you can request one free revision.
- Any changes after that will cost half of the remaining balance, which is non-refundable.
- If you’re still not happy after revisions, you may cancel the order, but your deposit and half of the remaining balance will be kept by Cookson Creek Fine Art. You will not receive the artwork.
9. Eligibility
Anyone can visit and order from our website. However:
- You must follow local, state, and international laws.
- Parents or guardians are responsible for deciding if our content is right for minors.
- By using our site, you confirm you’re allowed to enter into this agreement and that your use doesn’t break any laws.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we’ll change the “Last Updated” date at the top. Please check back now and then to stay up to date.
11. Questions?
If you have any questions, reach out to us at [insert your contact email].
12. Giveaways & Contests
From time to time, Cookson Creek Fine Art may offer giveaways, free art, or contests.
Here’s how that works:
- Giveaway winnings (like free portraits) can’t be applied to previous orders, including commissions you’ve already booked or paid a deposit on.
- Giveaways can’t be combined with any other offer or discount.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a giveaway or contest prize for any reason, at any time.
- If a giveaway prize can’t be fulfilled (for example, if the winner doesn’t respond or meet the requirements), the prize will go to the next runner-up.
13. Artwork Descriptions & Accuracy
We do our best to describe each piece of art clearly and accurately, including size, colors, and style. That said:
- Every screen displays colors a bit differently, so what you see on your phone or computer might look slightly different from the real-life artwork.
- Please take time to read product descriptions and check color displays on multiple devices if needed.
- We can’t guarantee that everything will be 100% accurate, current, or error-free.
We also reserve the right to:
- Correct any obvious mistakes in artwork descriptions or images.
- Refuse the sale or creation of artwork or services to anyone, for any reason, at any time.
14. Prices
Cookson Creek Fine Art reserves the right to set and adjust prices at any time.
- For custom portraits, the price may vary based on the size of the piece and the number of subjects included.
- Please make sure you review pricing carefully before making a reservation or payment.
- All prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- Shipping costs are separate and may change.
- Prices may also be adjusted to reflect exchange rates, and we do our best to keep prices up to date on our website.
- We reserve the right to correct any obvious pricing mistakes, whether caused by human or technical error. If a price mistake is found after you’ve ordered, we’ll contact you with the correct price. You can choose to continue with the order or cancel it.
- If any payment is missed or not completed, we may pause services or delivery until the full payment is made.
15. Payments
Payments for products and services (including portraits, courses, or digital products) can be made through PayPal or, in some cases, bank transfer or installment payments.
- For portraits, the total payment must be completed (including deposit and final balance) before shipping or delivery.
- For digital products, access will be granted once the full payment is received.
- After payment, you will receive a receipt via email.
- If paying by wire transfer or in installments, we may need to verify your payment before continuing with the order.
If your payment is declined, no charges will go through. Some banks may show a “pending” transaction for a few days—this is normal and usually clears in 2–5 business days.
Your card might be declined for reasons like:
- Insufficient funds
- AVS mismatch (billing address doesn’t match)
- Incorrect security code
If that happens, you’ll need to provide a different payment method.
Your payment information is handled securely and used only to process your purchase. We may use a secure third-party payment provider to complete your transaction.
16. License of Use
When you buy a product (like a portrait or a course) from Cookson Creek Fine Art, you’re buying it for personal use only. That means:
- You can display the artwork in your home or personal space.
- You can’t use the art for business or commercial purposes (like putting it on products or using it in a brand or marketing campaign).
- You can’t copy, edit, resell, or modify the artwork or course materials.
- You can’t share the digital files, include them in other designs, or give them away.
All the intellectual property rights to the artwork and courses stay with Cookson Creek Fine Art, even after purchase.
If you’d like to use artwork or content for commercial purposes, you must get written permission from us. We may approve or deny that request at our discretion.
Even if you buy a one-of-a-kind original, we may still sell prints of that artwork to other customers unless otherwise agreed.
If you share photos of the artwork in your space (such as on social media, in books, magazines, or blogs), we ask that you credit Cookson Creek Fine Art along with the title of the piece, if possible.
17. Product Descriptions
We do our best to make sure all product descriptions and prices on our website are accurate. But sometimes small errors may happen (like typos or color differences depending on your screen).
- Colors may look different depending on your monitor or device.
- Sizes and content are described as clearly as possible—please read them carefully before placing an order.
If we notice a mistake, we’ll let you know and give you the option to continue or cancel the order.
18. User Content (Reviews and Submissions)
Certain features of the website may allow you to upload content, such as reviews, comments, and other materials (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by submitting it, you give Cookson Creek Fine Art a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, modify, and publish it. This means we can use your content on the website, in promotions, and elsewhere.
You are fully responsible for any content you post, including ensuring that it’s legal, accurate, and appropriate. We do not monitor or control user content but we do have the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.

- You will not post content that may encourage physical harm, threats, or harassment.
20. Disclaimer of User Content
Cookson Creek Fine Art has the right to filter, edit, remove, or block any User Content at our sole discretion. We don’t monitor all content, but if we believe content violates these Terms, we can take action. We also reserve the right to remove content without notice.
By using our website, you understand that you might encounter inaccurate or inappropriate content submitted by other users. You agree not to hold Cookson Creek Fine Art liable for any loss or damage caused by this content.
If a third party claims that User Content doesn’t follow these Terms, we will investigate and decide whether to take it down. We reserve the right to monitor content for operational purposes, and may collect and use information in line with our Privacy Policy.
21. General Copyright
